Give access to a host or group

Access is given per host or per group, to a specific person.

Per group

Select a group, open Access, add the member. They see every host in the group — including hosts added to the group later.

Per host

Select a host, open Access, add the member. They see that host only. If the host moves to another group, the individual access stays.

What the member sees

Only the hosts they were given and the names of the groups those hosts are in. A host they were not given does not exist for them: not in the list, not in search, not in sync.

Credentials

A member with access can connect, but the app never shows, copies or exports the password or key. Read Security for the honest limits of that guarantee.
