Add your first host
A host is a server you connect to: a name, an address, a port, a user, and a credential.
Fields
| Field | Example | Where it is stored |
|---|---|---|
| Label | api-prod-01 |
server, plain text |
| Hostname | 10.0.4.12 |
server, plain text |
| Port | 22 |
server, plain text |
| User | deploy |
encrypted on your device |
| Key or password | ~/.ssh/id_ed25519 |
encrypted on your device |
Label, hostname and port are visible to the server so the audit log and the admin panel can show which host someone used. The credential and the user name never leave your device unencrypted.
Groups and tags
Put hosts in groups (production, staging) and add tags (ubuntu 24.04, postgres). In a team, a whole group can be shared with one click.
